Accessibility Statement

This statement is made in accordance with Legislative Decree No. 106 of 10 August 2018 (EU Directive 2016/2102) and Law No. 4 of 9 January 2004 (Stanca Act), following the official AgID model – Annex 1.

Who we are

The Franchini S.p.A. website, accessible at www.franchiniservizi.com, is managed with the aim of providing an inclusive digital experience for all individuals, regardless of their abilities.

Our commitment and compliance status

We are committed to complying with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and national legislation (UNI EN 301549), to ensure the website is accessible to a wide range of users, including those with visual, motor, cognitive, auditory, and other disabilities.

At present, this statement reflects a status of “partially compliant”, as some pages or functions present the issues described below.

What is not fully accessible yet and why

The website has certain limitations, described here in intentionally simple and understandable terms:

  • Names and labels: Some buttons lack textual descriptions, embedded content (such as frames and iframes) does not include titles, and some links are not easily understandable out of context.
  • Visual contrast: The contrast between text and background colours is not always sufficient, and in some cases links are only distinguishable by colour, reducing legibility.
  • List structure: Some lists contain inappropriate elements, making them difficult to read using assistive technologies.
  • Touch command best practices: Some clickable elements are too small or too close together, making interaction difficult, particularly on mobile devices.
  • Keyboard navigation: The heading structure does not always follow a logical sequence, making navigation more complex for keyboard users.
  • Multimedia content: Videos do not include subtitles, limiting access for users with hearing impairments.

For each of these issues, we already offer alternative solutions upon request via email.

How we verified

This statement was prepared through an internal self-assessment, including:

  • Automated tools to check key WCAG criteria;
  • Manual review by the development team;
  • In future, a subjective review by users with disabilities is planned, in line with AgID guidelines.

What we will do in the near future

To improve the experience and achieve full compliance, we plan to implement the following by the end of the year:

  • Adding descriptive names to buttons and embedded content: Each button will have a clear label, and embedded content such as frames and iframes will have explanatory titles.
  • Rewriting unclear links: Links will be revised to make sense even when read out of context, for example by screen readers.
  • Improving text and background contrast: We will adjust colour combinations to make text more legible and accessible.
  • Restructuring lists: We will correct list formatting to comply with standards and improve screen reader support.
  • Improving touch controls: We will enlarge clickable areas and increase spacing between elements for better mobile usability.
  • Correcting heading structure: We will revise heading order for clearer and more logical keyboard navigation.
  • Adding subtitles to videos: All video content will be accompanied by subtitles to make it accessible for users with hearing difficulties.

These areas will be reviewed and monitored during our scheduled biannual audits.
