High-Pressure Tank Cleaning: The "No Man Entry" Solution for Safety and Operational Efficiency
Anyone who works in the industrial sector knows that tank remediation is a high-risk operation. Current regulations regarding confined spaces (Legislative Decree 81/2008) require rigorous procedures that inevitably lengthen the time and increase the complexity of traditional interventions.
At Franchini Servizi Ecologici, we have developed a ""no-man entry"" solution to overcome these critical issues: automated high-pressure cleaning. Our method eliminates the need for human intervention, eliminating risks and simultaneously improving the time and quality of the final result. From our perspective, it is the most logical technical choice to ensure compliance and true maintenance efficiency.
Our method: technology and control, no compromise.
We operate a demountable platform unit equipped with a volumetric pump capable of delivering approximately 200 liters per minute at 1000 bar. The water is conveyed through reinforced pipes, designed to withstand high pressure and ensure maximum operational safety, to a special orbital nozzle. This, lowered from the upper manhole, rotates in a controlled manner, ensuring a uniform washing action.
Thanks to a guidance system fixed to the manhole, the operator always maintains full control of the jet while remaining in a safe position outside the tank. This way it is possible to treat every square centimeter of the internal surface, removing even the most stubborn encrustations, without any human entry inside the tank.
What are the real benefits for your company?
- Elimination of operational risk. This is the main benefit. Working with our method means not exposing personnel to danger, with all the resulting corporate liability implications.
- Minimized plant downtime. Times are shortened because all authorization and preparation procedures for safe entry are avoided. The calculation is simple: less time spent cleaning, more time for production.
- Deep and certified cleaning. The water flow rate and pressure leave no room for sludge and residue. The result is a level of cleanliness that manual intervention can hardly guarantee. Upon completion, the quality of the work performed is constantly monitored and, upon request, a ""Gas-Free"" certification is issued.
Our experience in various industrial sectors.
We have worked in complex contexts, from the chemical and petrochemical industries, where risk management is at its highest, to the food and pharmaceutical industries, where hygiene standards are the absolute priority. This has allowed us to develop a rigorous and transparent operational process, which we adapt to each individual situation.
Each intervention follows a precise procedure:
- Technical inspection: This is the fundamental starting point for assessing the specifics of the plant on site.
- Operational plan: Based on the data collected, we develop a detailed intervention strategy.
- Execution: We carry out the cleaning according to the plan, with our technologies and our qualified personnel.
- Waste management: We manage the collection and proper disposal of all waste, in full compliance with environmental regulations.
